Istanbul
Day 1 — ISTANBUL, CANAKKALE
After breakfast, depart for Canakkale via the Dardanelles. Lunch at a local restaurant on the way, enjoy an afternoon excursion to Troy and visit to the ruins.
Day 2 — IZMIR
Following breakfast, drive to Izmir via Pergamum. After a local lunch, you have a chance to explore this great ancient city. There will be visits to the ruins of Pergamum, the Acropolis and the Asclepium, followed by a drive to Izmir for dinner.
Day 3 — PAMUKKALE
The next day, set out for Pamukkale via Ephesus, which is unmatched by any archeological site anywhere in terms of sheer magnitude. Visits the House of The Virgin Mary, the ruins of Ephesus, the Archeological Museum and the Basilical Museum and the Basilica of St. John. After a local lunch, continue to Pamukkale.
Day 4 — ANTALYA
Before heading towards Antalya the next day, a tour will be made of Pamukkale, the “Cotton Castle” with its fascinating white rock formations and hot springs, reputed to be beneficial to the eyes and the skin. Also a visit will be made to the ancient Roman city of Hierapolis.
Cappadocia
Day 5 — ANTALYA
Day Five’s highlight is a full day sightseeing of Side, a seaside town; with ruins of the Greek, Roman and Byzantine eras. Tour the Archeological Museum, the captivating Ancient Theater of Aspendos with its perfect acoustics, and the vast ruins.
Day 6 — CAPPADOCIA
In the morning, head for Cappadocia via Konya, capital of the Seljuk Empire. During the sightseeing tour of Konya, visit the Mausoleum and Museum of Mevlana, home of the famous Whirling Dervishes. The ceramics museum of Karatay, once an Islamic school, built in 1251. Lunch in Konya or en route to Cappadocia.
Day 7 — CAPPADOCIA
Spend the next full day exploring the brilliant landscape of Cappadocia, with its unique valleys and villages that seem like a lost world to the visitor. Also visit the underground city of Kaymakli - Uchisar, Avcliar, Goreme, Urgup, Avanos, Zelve and Cavusin.

Day 8 — ANKARA
In the morning, drive north to Ankara via Salt Lake. After lunching in a local restaurant in Ankara, explore the capital of modern Turkey, with visits to the Museum of Ancient Civilizations of Anatolia (from the Stone Age to the Romans), the Temple of Augustus, the Citadel and the Mausoleum of Ataturk. Overnight in Ankara.
Day 9 — ISTANBUL
On your final day, transfer to the airport for the flight to Istanbul where the tour comes to a glorious end.
