Day 1—SYDNEY

On arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. One of the world’s great cities, Sydney offers everything for the international visitor. The spectacular Opera House, the magnificent ocean beaches and to the west, the Blue Mountains.

Day 2—SYDNEY

This morning your half day tour takes you to the famous northern surfing beaches and the historic “Rocks” area where the earliest settlers carved out the original city out of the rocky bluffs. End with a special tour of one of the worlds most recognizable buildings, the world famous Sydney Opera House.

Day 3—SYDNEY

Today’s full day tour features a visit to the world-heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park, a rugged and beautiful part of the Great Dividing Range. Lunch is included. Ride on one of the steepest scenic railways down into the valley. In the afternoon visit a wildlife sanctuary and see koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, emus and many varieties of fascinating bird life.

Day 4—THE GREAT BARRIER REEF

This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef. On arrival you will be taken by a connecting launch to Hayman Island.

Full day at leisure to explore one of the most unique natural aquatic areas on earth.

Day 6—ALICE SPRINGS

You will be transferred to the airport for Alice Springs. Set near the very center of the continent, “Alice” is the only large town for hundreds of miles in any direction. Settled in 1872 as a station for the overland telegraph linking north and South Australia with the rest of the world, it’s now the center of the “Outback” cattle industry. Afternoon tour of this unique, one of a kind town.

Day 7—AYERS ROCK

Full day touring en route to Ayers Rock. First visit Simpon’s Gap and Roe Creek where there’s the possibility of seeing kangaroos and other outback animals. On to Ayers Rock in time to view the huge, red monolith at sundown.

Day 8—AYERS ROCK

Full day of exploration. Rising majestically from the floor of the desert landscape, Uluru (Ayers Rock) is one of the world’s natural wonders, along with the 36 rock domes of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and their deep valleys and gorges. The whole area is a World Heritage site, and is scared to the Aboriginal people. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 9—ADELAIDE

Transfer to the airport for your flight via Alice Springs to Adelaide. Here is a tasteful mixture of old and new. Gleaming multistory office blocks contrast with typical Colonial architecture. Surrounded by extensive parks and gardens, it’s the starting point for visits to the nearby Barossa valley and its famous vineyards.

Day 10—MELBOURNE

Morning sightseeing of the highlights of this city with its great charm and unhurried way of life. Adelaide and the southeast area is the most bountiful and productive regions of Southeast Australia. Afternoon transfer to the airport for your short flight to Melbourne. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 11—MELBOURNE

This morning enjoy a comprehensive tour of Australia’s second largest city. The main features will include the National Art Gallery, a visit to Fitzroy Gardens and Captain Cook’s Cottage. As you ate driven through the neighborhoods, you will be surprised at its abundance of elaborate Victorian architecture to be seen.
